Cheat:
First, gather a Trophy System and one or more Propane Tanks.

Second, pick a spot where Scorpions commonly perch.

Set the Trophy System about where you judge the Scorpion's rear end would be.

Set the Propane Tank about where you judge the Scorpion's front end will be.

When the Scorpion fires, the Trophy System will counter it resulting in a tiny explosion that will cause the Propane Tank to explode, killing the scorpion.

When the flames die, reload it with a new Propane Tank.

Results may vary.

For hives (barrier hive) that are rife with Scorpions, you could set several Propane Tanks to net a larger explosion. Set them in Rough circle around the Trophy System.
