Cheat:
This is another idea for you and your co-op partners. This tactic works best if you can communicate with each other.

First stay in the start room for as many rounds as it takes you and your co-op partners to get around 2000 to 2500 points. Then let one of you clear the debris on the stairs in the start room. Then let another clear the debris on the other stairs that lead into the help room.

Now let everyone get a gun from the random box and also if you have already bought a gun from the start room or the upstairs then swap that gun to your pistol and then swap your pistol for the new gun from the random box and don't open the help 'door' that leads back to the start room, this means that there is only one large entrance to you and your co-op partners.

Now look at your guns, let one person with a good gun go to the top of the stairs and let another with a not so good gun go to the top of the stairs as well to provide cover fire. Then let one person be at the bottom of the stairs as back up if needed. Now you will have one person left to guard the windows in the help room.

Tip: while being at the top of the stairs and the zombies are over powering then just come back to the bottom of the stairs - don't risk being downed. Never ever push your luck. Tt doesn't matter if you come back to the bottom of the stairs you will have two people to support. Remember that the person at the bottom of the stairs can be called in if needed to support (this is if you can communicate).
