Cheat:
You’ll need a lot of upgrade materials if you want to improve your equipment. Search the areas described below to build your supply.

Spinmetal – Spinmetal is on Earth, at the Cosmodrone in Old Russia. On the right side of the map, you’ll find areas filled with rusty vehicles and other machines. Search around these and in chests in the nearby caves to find spinmetal. It is silver-green in appearance, with a rusty container.

Helium Filaments – Helium Filaments are the moon’s upgrade material, and you can find them in ready supply at Archer’s Line. When you go to Archer’s Line, jump on the ledge to your right. They may spawn there, in the room at the end of the path, and across the barrier to the left of that room. Helium Filaments also spawn around and on top of the particle accelerator, as well as in chests in the caves. They appear to be yellow, glowing canisters, which makes them easier to find at night.

Spirit Bloom – Spirit Bloom grows on Venus. You can find it at the Ishtar Sinks’ Headlands, the Shattered Coast, the paths in between, and in the Ishtar Commons. It also spawns in chests on the ledges. Not only is it plentiful, but it is also very visible, as it glows blue-green.

Relic Iron – Relic Iron is found on Mars. It spawns in the Barrens. You can also find it if you start at the Buried City’s Scablands entrance, go left, and head straight until you reach the next room, which often contains Relic Iron. From there, leave the building and head to the building left of the dune. After that, head left to find another possible area. Relic Iron appears as a shiny, reddish-brown rock or mineral lode.

Ascendant Energy – This is found randomly when you dismantle an upper level weapon, complete a public event, complete a daily mission on a difficulty level greater than 20, and complete Raids. It upgrades your weapon’s attack power.

Ascendant Motes – These are found randomly when you complete a public event, complete a daily mission on a difficulty level greater than 20, and complete Raids. Enemies may drop them, as well. They are used to upgrade Legendary and Exotic equipment.

Ascendant Shards – These are found randomly when you dismantle an upper level weapon, complete a public event, complete a daily mission on a difficulty level greater than 20, and complete Raids. They upgrade your armor’s defense.
