In The Lost Chapters section, you can quickly earn gold by buying and selling items if your guile is level 4 or higher. You can begin with items like Mana Potions to practice, but the more expensive gems are a much better way to earn gold. Whichever type of item you choose, you must buy them all from that vendor. You can then resell them for a profit.
Oakvale and the Knothole Glade in Bowerstone are both excellent places to use this trick.
