Cheat:
Covenant and Jackals can kill flamethrowers before they can get to them, their beam rifle upgrade makes them stronger, but slower at shooting. Have about 3 pairs to conteract that.
Hunters Finale upgrade takes away power, but increases speed and range (not completely sure about the power thing).
I've learned no matter what Grunts always suck, but don't send them in without the first upgrade, and even then send about 3 squads. Ghosts are a little worse but always send them in in pairs.
