Cheat:
All you do is go to Windhelm and go through an alley on the left side.

Then eavesdrop on this kid's and woman's conversation. Then you talk to Aventus Aretino. He is in a house right beside you on the right.

The lock pick is novice and you will not get in trouble from the guards. You talk to him, when he asks you if you are in the Dark Brotherhood say yes.

He will ask you to kill the crazy weirdo in solitude. Do it. You will not get in trouble for that either.

You go back to him tell him everything is OK. Then immediately go to Dragonbridge and a guy will hand a note. It says WE KNOW. It is from the Dark Brotherhood.

Afterwards go to the Bannered Mare in Whiterun, rent a room read the note and immediately go to sleep. A woman named Astrid will appear. She will ask you to kill someone.

There are three choices. Kill the man on the right, and only the right.

Afterwards Astrid gives you the code for the door. Use it.

Voila! You are know in the Dark Brotherhood.
