Cheat:
Killing the AI-controlled enemies can help you build up your Titan gauge, in addition to being weaker opponents that new players can kill.

Filling your Titan gauge should be one of your top priorities, because you’ll be in trouble if your opponents can get their Titans first. Therefore, you should fight from the start of a match, even against the AI enemies, rather than wait for the enemy to come to you.

Never camp. Remain in motion as often as you can, and always try to reach higher ground.

When you summon your Titan, the resulting Titanfall can crush enemies if you time it right.

In general, flanking attacks are very effective. Guard your own sides while trying to work your way around to flank enemies.

As you control your Titan and fight enemies, you will reduce the amount of time you will have to wait before your next Titanfall. You will also build your core ability.

If an opponent jumps on top of your Titan to try to destroy it, you can disembark and shoot them. You can also call on allies for support, if other players are close enough to make it in time. If you are the on-foot Pilot, you can destroy a Titan while on top of it by ripping off one of its panels and shooting the exposed circuitry, an attack sure to do a ton of damage. This is known as a Rodeo Kill, or rodeoing.

Eject from your Titan if the Titan is doomed or if ejecting is advantageous for you—it will shoot you up into the air, so you should aim to land on top of an opposing Titan or in another area that will help you.

If you leave the AI in control of your Titan while you fight on foot, you can station the Titan in a useful position, where its fire will distract enemies or defend a particular area. This shouldn’t be attempted with the Stryder, due to its lower defense.

Do not call your Titan from the other side of the map, because it will often take too much damage trying to reach you.

You should not try to shoot a rifle without aiming. It won’t be effective.

If you take down a Titan’s shields, aim for the red spots. They are the Titan’s weak points. In general, Titans are weak at their heads and backplates.
