Cheat codes are usually free right? You visit your favorite Xbox 360 Cheats site or, alternatively, unlock them by playing through the game, and the cheats are then yours to use as you wish. It seems Capcom either doesn’t know this, or are trying to change it, and have decided to charge gamers $5 for their new “GameBreaker” downloadable content for Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

The new DLC is basically a cheat code pack and unlocks numerous powers that you would otherwise expect to be accessed via a cheat code. We’re talking about things like super damage, speed increases, giant head mode, more PP and more time. Check out the video of the pack and think about whether you are willing to pay $5 for the cheat unlockables *ahem*.

I sincerely hope this isn’t the start of some sort of DLC trend… although something tells me it won’t be.
