The highly anticipated Star Wars 1313 got a brand spankin’ new trailer at Gamescom 2012, and it’s arguably the best-looking Star Wars game yet. Featuring visuals that are almost indistinguishable from the in-game cinematics, this insanely polished third-person shooter from LucasArts looks absolutely stellar. While the gameplay does appear to be very reminiscent of Mass Effect 3, cover system and all, it certainly doesn’t hurt the overall presentation whatsoever. See for yourself just how incredible Star Wars 1313 is shaping up to be in the fresh trailer after the jump.
Perhaps what’s most shocking about this trailer is how imperceptible the shift between in-game cinematics to gameplay appears to be. It’s fairly obvious which scenes are a direct gameplay capture, but the graphical style, fidelity, and detail are all completely intact in real-time. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen a Star Wars game that demonstrated this level of quality, and the atmosphere exuding from this trailer is almost enough to put the game on several people’s wish list. While we’re still waiting for a release date for Star Wars 1313, we can only imagine that this one won’t be making the 2012 holiday release window. Even so, the game looks stunning at whatever stage of development it’s currently in, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
