The anticipated launch of the Xbox 360 in Argentina has been delayed. The exact reason is unclear, as Microsoft made the announcement at a recent conference in Chile without giving an explanation. It will be released sometime in late 2007.
This will be disappointing to many fans, as the Xbox 360 is an entertainment system as well as a game console. It can display photos, play music and videos, and interact with other electronic devices.
Despite the delay, however, the conference included some good news. The general manager of Microsoft Argentina, Gutavo Ripoll, announced that Microsoft’s Origami mobile PC will come to Argentina in a few months. The company also plans to build a software development center in Chile.
Such progress is a hopeful sign, and perhaps future console launches won’t see delays.
