Titanfall was given a release date of March 11 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, but that has changed a little bit. While Xbox One and PC players will still be able to play Titanfall on the 11th, Xbox 360 players will have to wait two weeks for its release on March 25 (March 28 in Europe).
The game is almost ready. Respawn is finishing up the Xbox One and PC versions of the game, and Bluepoint Games is finalizing the Xbox 360 version, but they need a little more time. According to EA’s EVP Patrick Soderlund, the extra two weeks are necessary to make sure Titanfall is as excellent an experience on the Xbox 360 as on the other two systems.
The news has disappointed some fans, reassured others, and also pulled a few conspiracy theorists out of the woodwork—they believe this is a scheme to convince Xbox 360 owners to buy an Xbox One so they can play Titanfall on March 11.
Well, we aren’t sure what is going on, but at least the delay is only a couple of weeks. If they reveal anything new about Titanfall, we’ll be sure to let you know.
